This customer wanted their old filtration system upgrading and moving.
Full description
We tested the water flow and spoke with the customer and they advised the flow had reduced in recent weeks. Flow reduction is caused by a build up in your pipe work and also around the pump inlet. Acid cleaning the system fixes the issue.
As you can see there is an excessive amount of iron in the raw water pipes (before the filtration process) because of this we will be preforming a borehole clean using an acid to dissolve the iron. We will also use this process to clean the components of the borehole.
Water Testing
The starting point for any water treatment design is a representative water analysis that is complete and accurate. Using a UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Two of our engineers, here at Prosep Filter Services, have undergone formal training and are now certified to carry out water sampling to UKAS accredited standards.

pH Correction
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic. Acidic water accelerates corrosion in pipe work, It can also cause staining on fittings in baths, sinks and other appliances. Acidic water can leave a distinctive ‘metallic’ taste when drunk.
