High levels of bacteria were not being treated by the UV due to excessive sediment and colour in this private water supply.
We installed an automatic backwashing sediment filter followed by a resin bed media designed specifically to reduce colour. The clean water is stored in a potable (drinking) water tank with Ultraviolet sterilisation before and after the tank. The water is then supplied to the property via a variable speed booster pump set.
Sediment and colour removal is very important when it comes to a private water supply. Ignoring these contaminants can render any UV System useless!
