Prosep Filter Services recently installed a bespoke borehole water treatment system for a client in Halifax, Calderdale. The project aimed to resolve several common borehole issues, including high iron, sediment, and bacteria.
Borehole water often looks clear. However, it can still contain harmful impurities. In this case, water tests showed elevated iron levels and bacterial contamination. As a result, treatment was essential.
To address this, we designed a compact and efficient system. It removes iron, filters out sediment, and eliminates bacteria. As a result, the client now has a clean and safe water supply.
However, there were space limitations on site. To work around this, the client built a small shed to house the system. From there, we developed a detailed CAD drawing. This helped us plan the layout and ensure everything would fit. More importantly, it allowed for easy access during future maintenance.
Thanks to careful planning and precise installation, the system now runs smoothly. The client can rely on a safe, high-quality water supply every day.

pH Correction
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic. Acidic water accelerates corrosion in pipe work, causes staining of baths, sinks and other appliances and can leave a distinctive ‘metallic’ taste to the water.
