The raw borehole water contains high levels of sediment. Iron and manganese are present, the pH is unstable, and bacteria are detected. The image helps demonstrate why a proper treatment setup is essential.
The first stage of treatment uses an automatic backwashing sediment unit fitted with a Clack valve. This unit removes suspended solids and prevents sediment from reaching the rest of the system. The Clack valve automatically manages backwash cycles, ensuring consistent performance with minimal homeowner input.
An ion exchange unit then reduces the iron and manganese levels. This prevents staining, improves clarity, and protects the property’s plumbing.
A pH correction stage stabilises the water, ensuring balanced conditions and supporting the performance of the final treatment step.
The last two stages are a 5um pre-filter & UV unit, which provides effective disinfection without chemicals. It eliminates bacteria and delivers safe, clean water to the property.
The completed system operates efficiently and requires only straightforward routine maintenance. With the installation in place, the homeowners are now enjoying a reliable and secure supply of treated borehole water.
